Angie has been working in health and wellness since 2011, specialising in Menopause Coaching from 2016 and Relaxation Sound Baths in 2021.
Since then she has provided over 100 Sound Baths around Scotland and England, helping people of all ages and genders to experience the peace, calm and clarity that are offered through structured sound therapy.
The use of sound as a tool to enhance our wellbeing is an ancient practice that has been used across the globe. The scientific explanation for why it is so effective, describes variation in technique, tone, pitch, volume, to elicit a response in the body that stimulates hormones and neurotransmitters. When done well, it leads to an altered state of consciousness and deep brain waves; similar to a deep meditation but without the effort!
The sound bowls and techniques that Angie uses have been shown in modern research to provide many health benefits, including; reduced stress and anxiety, reduced muscle tension, reduced blood pressure, improved sleep, relief from chronic pain.
Angie's Sound Baths are always a non-contact experience where participants are lying down throughout. It is intended as a gentle but powerful relaxation session, rather than invigorating or loud.
Recent testimonial:
"The relaxation sound bath I experienced with Angie was something totally new. I felt immersed in gratitude, safety, and love. I was able to rest and get out of my own head for a bit - a rarity for me."
